Noa Mintz founded a childcare agency three years ago and has since acquired an impressive roster of babysitters and nannies.
But many of them are twice her age.
Noa, the brains behind Nannies By Noa, started the company when she was just 12 years old. Despite the fact that, as its founder/director, she was singlehandedly running the business from her middle school study hall, the agency has turned into a hugely lucrative business.
According to The New York Post, the agency is now placing about 25 full-time nannies and 50 babysitters. A New York City nanny makes a gross salary of about $50,000-$80,000; Nannies By Noa takes a 15 percent commission. Those numbers suggest the agency’s revenue is about $375,000.
Even CNN Money reported when Noa hired a CEO.
“She was always trying to start these mini-companies,” Noa’s mother, Meredith Berkman told The Post. “It’s not a hobby for her. This isn’t a lemonade stand."
Many of her clients and nannies express complete shock when they discover that the sophisticated businesswoman they've been emailing with is "just a kid." But, as you'll see below, Noa has everything it takes to make a serious mark on the business world.
