The Spanish football federation (RFEF) has announced an indefinite suspension for all domestic football in the country beginning on May 16. The decision has been made due to a row between the federation and the government over issues including television rights
A statement on the RFEF's website on Wednesday said it was unhappy with receiving less than 5% of pools revenue.
However, the statement also revealed the federation is open to a discussion with the government to resolve the issue.
"At the same time, and yet again, we reiterate the offer of dialogue to the Spanish government," - the statement read.Barcelona were due to travel to Atletico Madrid on the weekend commencing May 16 but it is now unclear whether that fixture will go ahead as planned.
