WITH barely 15 days to the forthcoming 2015 general elections, the controversy surrounding the use of the card reader machines continued yesterday in Abuja as the political parties remained divided over its use.
INEC had summoned a meeting of the political parties to inform them of the level of arrangement already put on ground for the success of the exercise.
But the meeting which lasted for more than six hours failed to bring all the stakeholders on the same table concerning the use of the device which many analysts believe will reduce the incidence of electoral fraud.
The anti-card reader parties led by the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) argued that in as much as they are not afraid of its usage, that INEC must ensure that no Nigerian voter was disenfranchised by the machine.
