Professor Attahiru Jega officially bowed out of office as Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC today June 30th.

He was appointed chairman of the electoral body in 2010 and has conducted two elections, the 2011 and 2015 elections.



Professor Jega has handed over to Mohammed Wali, a national commissioner of the electoral body from Sokoto state.
